This special is a tender and comical adventure movie. The protagonists are a band of misfits formed through chance encounters or personal interest:
- The leader is an Aye Aye, in this case the slowest, laziest and cowardliest creature to walk the earth. Then come his sidekicks:
- A dung fly called “Zzz”, who sticks to our hero like a fly to fly paper, because the aye aye only does his number 2 once every three months… Just the thought of it has him drooling!
- A short-sighted, brawny Rhino in charge of providing security for the aye aye and the fly. In exchange for his bodyguard services, the latter have promised him first picks at a supposed bargain sale at a family eyeglass megastore.
- Raymonde, the ostrich disco queen, is an hysterical, rickety, wild lady with whom the rhino falls madly in love with.
This hastily assembled ragtag team has a single objective: to seek a potion held by a
cruel and distant tribe of giant ants.
A Saye Saye epidemic (a disease well known to the elders) is spreading among the wild animals, fully reversing their natural inclinations. Vultures fly around with Red Cross medical kits, rushing to the rescue of rotting carrion and skeletons and performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and cardiac massage...
