The concept is simple: the characters are two children that appear in all the stories. One is a little English boy, named «John.» The other is a little French girl, named «France.» They meet and tell each about their respective lives in turn.

Each sentence is spoken and sung by one of the children in their own language, and then repeated by the other in their language.

Each song is designed to expand a child’s vocabulary based on a theme:

For instance, lesson/songs 1 allows children to introduce themselves and get to know the main characters in a family: parents, grandparents, cousins and pets.

- Lesson 2 teaches children the days of the week.

- Lesson 3 teaches them colours.

The music, in a variety of styles, is carefully composed so that the melodies are easy to memorize.
